Starting a business is never easy, and there are always challenges, Creating Ave del Paraiso has been an incredible and rewarding experience, which allows me to connect with amazing people and to share a creative passion with my mom.

I won't say that my childhood was perfect, but I grew up with a lot of Love and hardworking parents, the type of people that value effort and not getting anything for free.

There was a lot of handcrafting activities from my mom, always painting or carving something and more practical things from my dad; I'm very proud I can change a tire (if needed).

All the little things led to this project which now I'm happy to share with more people.

Designing formulas for soaps and oils blends is a lot of fun meaning that all the time I spend in my workshop doing this does not feel like work, and every time I see the finished product I'm full with joy, and you can only imagine how good the whole place smells.

Making candles came almost a year after, and I can honestly say that even though they are ready faster, it is a slow and detailed process. Those babies do not pour themselves.

Making soy wax candles vs. another type of wax was a conscious decision, I wanted to create something extraordinary, and as the name suggests, Soy wax is made from the Soybean which means that it is 100% natural, 100% renewable and 100% environmentally friendly for pets, people and plants.

I'm still amazed every time I think about how good soy wax is and how bad all the paraffin candles are, but well you don't know what you don't, and now I know better, quick online research will make you put those paraffin candles in the trash.

My favorite quote right now is "When you buy from a small business an actual person does a little happy dance."
